Charming Charm Bracelet

We LOVE bracelets! Who doesn’t? They’re jewelry, they’re precious and they carry around your best life memories with you everywhere you go. They’re the perfect accessory to add to your occasional nights out, to a fancy gathering or to a trendy business meeting. Talking about trends, they’re definitely a trend we stand behind.

Today Josh and I decided to share my charming charm bracelet (that’s how we unanimously decided to name it :D). It all started on March 16, 2015, which marked my second year anniversary of moving to Canada to reunite with my husband Josh. His grandmother gave me a thoughtful card that day. Along with the card came a super-cute charm that had the words “Be Strong” engraved on it.

I instantly knew I’d like to turn this little charm into a beautiful piece of jewelry and bring it with me every time I feel that I need to be a bit stronger. What I had in mind was very aristocratic jewelry, heavy and filled with handmade charms. I wanted it to look very hot couture-ish. I started sculpting different designs with different beads and wires and I wanted to use red, black, white and transparent when it came to colors and silver wiring.

In the end I couldn’t choose which design I liked best, so I decided to keep each of the different designs and add them all to my charming charm bracelet along with other charms I bought here and there over the years. It’s the best piece of jewelry I have because it means a lot to me. It reminds me to Be Strong and handle everything that comes along with Charm.

Do you have a special charm, a piece of jewelry, a small rock or just a simple cute memory? Don’t let it collect dust in your drawer, top shelf or jewelry box. Turn it into a fabulous jewelry piece and bring it with you to remind you of how special and precious you are.

Have you ever been shopping for a specific gift and not been able to find it? We feel that way sometimes, but we don’t mind because it gets our creativity juices flowing. This is how we decided to make a charm bracelet for Josh’s sister, Demaris. If you have a daughter, niece or mom that enjoys trendy jewelry or fashion, here’s what you need to do to make your own special charm bracelet:

Get a charm bracelet chain, pick your favorite charms (choose as many as you want) and start clipping them onto your charm chain. The results will definitely be CHARMING! 😉

We’ve had these glass beads since forever. A friend of mine had a beautiful scarf with these beads attached to it, but she didn’t like them. She removed the beads from the scarf and gave them to me.

“Here Soni,” she said as she handed them to me, “you will be able to use these beads for some of your creative projects. You will give them a better purpose.”

They have been hiding in our craft boxes full of other beads and buttons until I rediscovered them one day and thought to myself, “Hold on a minute! I love these beads and they could be transformed into a wonderful necklace.”

The necklace matches with a lot of outfits and dresses I have, considering the colors of the beads, and I made sure I matched it to the right chain too. What do you think? 😉

Sea Stone Necklace

Josh and I went to Port Stanley, Ontario lately and it was undeniably a lot of fun. We visited cool places and we took plenty of pictures. We checked every single store in town, but we couldn’t find something ultra-special to keep as a souvenir; something that would remind us of that special day we spent together in Port Stanley.

All of a sudden, while we were strolling along the beach, my eyes were drawn to a beautiful sea stone. We looked at each other and nodded our heads in agreement. Oh yeah! This was a perfect souvenir to keep from port Stanley. I envisioned a crafted necklace while I picked it up. Check out the wonderful result: a handmade necklace with a real stone from the sea at Port Stanley!
